Atlanta rapper and entrepreneur 2 Chainz gives his Georgia fans a reason to participate in the upcoming Georgia Senate runoff election in January.
In an Instagram post last week, the rapper announced his partnership with HeadCount. A non-partisan organization that uses music to encourage young people and music fans to registered and vote.
In the video, 2 Chainz encourages everyone to vote and gives them an incentive by clicking the link in his bio for a chance to win a Tesla. Once the individual clicks the link in the bio they’re required to request a mail-in ballot or check their voter registration status on the HeadCount website.
It seems simple enough for a chance at a brand new Tesla!
“Who wants to win a Tesla? This is for my GEORGIA followers. I’m teaming up with @headcountorg to make sure you are good to vote in the Senate runoff! Hit the link in my bio to enter to win a Tesla! That simple,” he captioned the post.
The Senate runoff in Georgia, which takes place on January 5, is extremely crucial. The election will determine which party controls the United States Senate.
Democrats Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock will face-off against the incumbent GOP Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, respectively. Because none of the candidates received a majority vote in the November elections. The race is not considered settled, forcing the runoff.
