Wesley Snipes and Kevin Hart have joined forces for a limited drama series called ‘True Story’ set to premiere on Netflix.
Who would have thought the comedian known as chocolate drop and Casanova Romello from Sugar Hill would team together? Well, get ready for a new comedy/drama series starring Kevin Hart and Wesley Snipes.
Written and executive produced by Eric Newman, who is behind the show ‘Narcos: Mexico’ the iconic Wesley Snipes and Kevin Hart have joined forces for a limited drama series called ‘True Story’ set to premiere on Netflix.
Kevin Hart will be playing Kid, the version of himself and Snipes will be playing his older brother Carlton. ‘True Story’ is based on how Kevin Hart grew up in Philadelphia while his older brother was in and out of jail.
Hart said he has never been more excited about an acting project. He said he has always been a fan of Wesley Snipes. “I’ve always been a fan of Wesley Snipes and working for him is mind blowing,” Kevin said.
Kevin Hart recently released his latest comedy stand-up recorded in his home “Zero F**ks Given” on Netflix. However, it was the Philly native’s “2011 Laugh At My Pain Tour” that put him on the mark. Hart has also starred in films like ‘Paper Soldiers’, ‘About Last Night’, ‘The Upside’, and ‘Jumanji: The Next Level’.
Snipes who is a legendary actor has appeared in many films including, ‘New Jack City’, ‘Waiting To Exhale’, ‘Sugar Hill’, ‘Brooklyn Finest’ with Don Cheadle and the ‘Blade’ movie sequels. He is also set to play in the sequel to Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall’s 1980’s film, ‘Coming To America’.
