Keyshia Cole Says She’s Retiring From Music Following Final Album

Keyshia Cole posted on Twitter that she is retiring from music to devote more time to her children but promises to release one final album as part of her record label contract obligations.

Not too long after R&B singers K. Michelle and Keyshia Cole ended their longtime beef, Cole announced she is retiring from music via social media. Many fans were shocked by the news and believed she was joking. Some even believed her account had been hacked.

On Wednesday, March 17, the “Love” singer took to her Twitter account to reveal that she is hanging up the mic following her upcoming and final album. When one of her fans replied saying it’s not her time to retire and that she was not being truthful, Cole responded with “I’m not lying”. Another fan who implied the reality star’s page had been hacked inquired why she was retiring, and Cole’s response was “Y’all always think I am being hacked”.

The west coast artist added that she will not stop performing but she will not be releasing any new music following her eighth album.

During the Verzuz Battle with singer Ashanti, Cole, 39, released her latest single “I Don’t Want To Be In Love” which is currently buzzing up the charts. The audio-visual released February 4 has over 1.1 million views on YouTube.

Keyshia Cole born in Oakland, California has released 7 studio albums including the singles “I Should Have Cheated”, “Never”, “Trust” featuring Monica, “Let It Go” featuring Missy Elliott and Lil Kim, “Heaven Sent”, and “Enough of No Love” featuring Lil Wayne. She also appeared as a featured artist on Chicago rapper Kanye West’s 2006 “Impossible” from the Mission Impossible II soundtrack, “Last Night” with Diddy, and “Dreamin” with rapper Young Jeezy.
