Former U.S. Marine turned singer, Mooski has unveiled the party visual for his viral hit single, “Track Star.”
Since its release in January, “Track Star” has taken social media by storm, particularly TikTok. Swarms of creators have filmed themselves doing the now-famous “Track Star” dance created by dancer City Boy J.
Nearly four months later, Mooski has blessed us with a dance hall-themed video that finds him on the dance floor with “No More Parties” star Coi Leroy. After getting cozy in the shindig, the two make their exit and retreats to Mooski’s crib. The scenes flash back and forth between Mooski performing and Coi deciding to put some distance between them.
Having released the video on April 7th, it has attracted over 3 million views.
While Mooski is basking in the success of his long-awaited video, there has been plenty of chat regarding whether or not Mooski should have included City Boy J in the video, considering that he played a role in making the song popular through his original dance challenge. Following the release of the visual, J took to Instagram to address Mooski for not asking him to be in the video.
“Nope, I’m not in the video just because someone don’t wanna work with me because of who I am.” He goes on to add, “all I have done for mooski even if he don’t recognize what I did god and all my supporters is what keep me goin.”
Mooski stated in an interview with The Breakfast Club that he had reached out and thanked the creators for helping to further the track. However, J says that the singer didn’t receive a thank you at all.
Despite the drama, both the visual and song are a smash. Check it out for yourself below.
