In the new single, Keyz raps about a life of luxury which includes cars, women, designer clothes, and most importantly, getting to the bag. With a beat composed of plucked guitar strings and hard-hitting drums, Keyz shows fans that he can be melodic and nimble with his flow.
Flexing his everyday lifestyle, “Drop Top Coupe” finds Keyz on the road to pursing his dreams, as his rap skills bring him on step closer to reaching anything he’s ever dreamed of. The young prodigy has already established a wide fan base who quickly clung onto his music, image and aesthetic. In the visual, directed by Eddie Choppo, Laney manifests his boss-life aspirations, chilling poolside in a mansion surrounded by gorgeous models and white-on-white Ferraris.
As Keyz continues to drop catchy hooks and singles, these extravagant situations will quickly become the new normal for the rapper. With his smooth, slick-talking lyrics, Keyz is definitely on the verge of becoming a household name at just 23-years-old.
Born and raised in East Oakland, Keyz spent some troublesome teenage years in and out of prison. Once he hit rock bottom, Keyz became inspired by his idol Meek Mill and decided to get his act together and take his music more seriously. Beginning his music career behind the scenes as an audio engineer, Keyz eventually became a songwriter for some very notable artists on the West Coast. After years of writing songs, the rapper began to release music of his own in Summer 2020.
Keyz’s music quickly started gathering buzz from dropping freestyles over popular beats, including Travis Scott’s “FRANCHISE” and DaBaby’s “Blind.” Keyz gained even more momentum with the release of the globe-trotting song “Russia,” the flossy trap ballad “Knockout,” and “Colorful Sh*t,” which features Lil Yachty.
Recently signed to Nontra Records, Keyz has no plans on slowing down as he strives to make a name for himself in Oakland and beyond.
