Rapper Lil Durk Has Scored His First No. 1 Album With “The Voice.”

Lil Durk’s surprise album “The Voice” arrived on December 24th with little promotion after a successful year, which saw him featured on the Grammy-nominated single “Laugh Now, Cry Later” alongside Drake. The album debuted at No. 13 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Album, with 23,000 equivalent album units moved that day. Now, the project has climbed to No. 1 as of January 16th.

Several tracks from the album have made it to the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, including fan-favorite “Still Trappin’,” which features Durk’s late friend King Von, who was murdered in Atlanta on November 6th. The track debuted at No. 15 for the week of January 9th. The official video, which pays homage to Von, has garnered over 6 million views on YouTube
