Rapper Lil TJay Arrested For Weapon And Marijuana Possession

Right before the New Year, 19-year-old rapper Lil TJay was arrested for possession of a weapon, possession of marijuana, and grand larceny.

According to TMZ, Lil Tjay was in a vehicle with 4 others when cops pulled them over for switching lanes without signaling. Our sources say the officer smelled weed in the car, which resulted in a search and the discovery of 4 loaded handguns and a large amount of marijuana. Because no one took responsibility for the weapons or marijuana they were all charged with possession of a weapon and marijuana. It is unclear why they’re facing grand larceny charges.

Lil TJay’s latest arrest came days after authorities interrupted the 19-year-old’s video shoot with rapper Fivio Foreign. The NYPD told TMZ, they were responding to a call about waving guns outside the Queens housing projects. Nothing was found in TJay’s vehicle and he was released.

Although Lil TJay and Fivio Foreign weren’t arrested during their video shoot. 21-year-old Tahjay Dobson was arrested for gun possession, resisting arrest, and false personation.

Lil TJay released his second studio album State Of Emergency in May 2020, with seven tracks and features from Jay Gwuapo, Sheff G, Sleepy Hallow, Fivio Foreign, and the late Pop Smoke.
