Rapper NLE Choppa Drops Video To ‘Beat Box’ Freestyle Following Arrest In Florida

On Thursday, April 1, Florida rapper NLE Choppa who was recently arrested on multiple charges, dropped a video to SpottemGottem’s ‘Beat Box’ called “First Day Out” upon his release from jail. In the visual directed by Choppa himself, the 18-year-old is holding two knives while dancing in the kitchen. He and his crew appear in multiple scenes wearing white tank tops and shorts, jumping in the pool, and following suit to Choppa’s dance moves. Also, in the video Choppa is seen leaving the jail wearing a mask holding a brown bag. At the end of the video, he featured his new merchandise line including hoodies and t-shirts with his mug shot on them.

NLE Choppa whose real name is Bryson Lashun Potts was arrested Sunday, March 28 on burglary, drug possession and possession of concealed firearm. According to arrest reports, the Tennessee rapper and another person were seen jumping over a gate at Superior Towing Company in Davie. Potts told the police that he jumped the gate because he was looking out for a car that allegedly was in the tow yard, but it turned out to be the wrong tow yard.

Following Choppa’s release from Broward County Jail in Fort Lauderdale, he released a statement via social media claiming his recent arrest in Florida was a set up. He said that the substances that he was accused of having was planted on him.

“During this arrest I was setup, substances were planted on me that I don’t consume/use/own, my name was lied upon, and I was mistreated in the process,” Potts posted on Twitter.

The “Shotta Flow” rapper added that he will beat the case and walk free. He also thanked his supporters and asked them to stand firm with him and let God do his work.
