Slimelife Shawty Gets Deep and Personal In New Single “No Brakes”

Atlanta rapper Slimelife Shawty gave his biggest hit to date by adding a guest verse from Detroit’s 42 Dugg.

Slimelife Shawty signed with Only The Family records founded by Chicago native Lil Durk. He is featured on Lil Durk Presents: Loyal Brothers, an album featuring the members of Only The Family including Memo600, Booka600, Lil Mexico, Doodie Lo, Chief Wuk, THF Zoo, and the late King Von.

With over $625k views on YouTube from the video to the single “Homicide”, Atlanta’s own Slimelife Shawty gets deep and personal on his latest single “No Brakes”. The trap banger, which was released last Thursday, March 11, has over 312,000 streams and over 13,000 likes on YouTube.

In the video directed by Shotbywolf, Slimelife delivers his version of life living in the trap and trying to survive in the trenches while sitting on top of a caged fence with his homies showing off his OTF chain. With blazing skeletons, hearts, and colorful lightning in the background the 22-year-old speaks about drug use, contemplating suicide, and other tribes and tribulations he has faced in a lyrical sense.

Last September Slimelife Shawty signed with Only The Family records founded by Chicago native Lil Durk. He is featured on Lil Durk Presents: Loyal Brothers, an album featuring the members of Only The Family including Memo600, Booka600, Lil Mexico, Doodie Lo, Chief Wuk, THF Zoo, and the late King Von. The album, which was released March 5, consists of 23 songs with Slimelife featured on six songs.

Slimelife Shawty who is currently working on his next project titled Better Livin has become one of the most popular young rappers out today. He released the album No Slime Left Behind in May 2020 with 13 tracks featuring the singles “Talk To Em” and “Brazy Life” featuring Lil Durk. He is known for the hit singles “Savage”, “Hit Em All” and “All Summer” which has racked up over 2.1 million views on YouTube. He also teamed up with rapper 42 Dugg in the remix to “Don’t Worry” and has collaborations with Lil Keed and Lil Gotit in the single “Drip Here”.
