R&B singer Trey Songz was arrested Sunday after getting into a physical altercation with a police officer. While he attended the AFC championship game between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chefs.
People who witness the altercation tells TMZ that the confrontation started when the singer was heckled by other football fans.
In the now-viral video, Trey Songz and Officer Dan Danakoski are seen physically struggling with each other. Onlookers say that Trey was simply defending himself after the officer charged at him. In the video, Trey can be seen throwing a few jabs at the officer’s face.
Even as people at the scene insisted that the 36-year-old singer “did nothing wrong.” Trey was arrested for trespassing, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer. Trey Songz was booked and placed in a 24-hour holding cell in Kansas City. He’ll likely be released sometime on Monday. Although Songz was arrested on the charges. No formal charges have been filed.
