Grisleda Films Presents “Conflicted” Starring Benny The Butcher And Westside Gunn

Griselda rappers Westside Gunn and Benny the Butcher show off their acting skills in CONFLICTED

Griselda Records continues to unleash consistent dope releases in the new year. But their latest release comes in the form of a feature film. Released on Jan. 15th, Griselda Films presents Conflicted. Directed by A.K. Reed and written by Duece King. Griselda rappers Westside Gunn and Benny the Butcher show off their acting chops with prominent film roles. Along with Adiyon Dashalon, J. Holiday, Michael Rapaport, Nakeya Griffith, and Reema Reem.

With an independent release, you can premiere it in your home for $25 at the film’s website. Although this is a first for Griselda, rap labels releasing their own independent films isn’t a new concept in hip hop. Master P and No Limit Records released “I’m Bout It,” in 1997, and Jay-Z and Roc-A-Fella Records released “Streets is Watching,” in 1998.

Without the help of major production companies, Griselda follows these labels in being their own bosses and releasing independent films. Without the help of major production companies. Westside Gunn posted on IG before the release, giving a tribute to the films before Griselda’s.

“When Master P Did “Bout It” showing u the N.O. And HOV made “Streets is Watching,” showing u BK, and Camron made “KILLA Season,” showing u Harlem, GRISELDA CONFLICTED shows u Buffalo.”

Griselda has always repped Buffalo, NY since their inception and it’s great to see, not just their music, but now their film represents Buffalo on a bigger scale. But it wouldn’t be a real Griselda release without new music.
