YFN Lucci faces murder charges after turning himself into Atlanta police following a warrant for his arrest. Lucci is currently being held at Fulton County Jail without bond.
According to TMZ, YFN Lucci, born Rayshawn Bennett. Turned himself in last Wednesday. The day after, a warrant was issued for his arrest on alleged murder charges. The Atlanta rapper is accused of being the driver of a gang-related drive-by shooting that killed a man and left another man wounded. The Atlanta police told CNN that Lucci was wanted on multiple charges, including felony murder, participation in street gang activity, and possession of a firearm.
What led up to Lucci’s arrest was an audio 911 call made by a woman who witnessed a man hanging out of a white SUV. Whom she says was then pushed out into the street on December 10. The witness added that the victim was fighting for his life. After what appeared to be a gunshot to the head. When the police arrived around 5:20 pm, they found 28-year-old James Adams lying in the street. With a gunshot wound to the face. Adams was then taken to the hospital, where he later died.
The police report stated that a second victim named Kevin Wright, 32 was found near a fire station. Wright suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Before turning himself in YFN Lucci released his latest music video to the single “Rolled On” featuring Mozzy. The 29-year-old Atlanta native is known for the hit singles “Everyday we Lit,” “Wet,” and “Keys To The Streets.”
