Young Dolph and his protege Key Glock have dropped their highly anticipated “Dum & Dummer 2,” the follow-up to their 2019 successful collaboration project.
The Paper Route EMPIRE duo served up their Memphis bars depicting their luxurious lifestyles and rags to riches tale. The album is expected to be met with the same success as its predecessor. “Dum & Dummer” debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard 200, which is an impressive feat for an independent project.
To celebrate the album, Dolph announced the #DumAndDummer2AlbumChallenge on his Instagram. Fans can enter to win $25,000 by emailing him the 10,888th word said on “Dum & Dummer 2.” The challenge is said to switch up from week to week over the next four weeks, with one winner being chosen weekly. Elsewhere in the world of TikTok and challenges, Key Glock’s “Mr. Glock” challenge is taking social media by storm, despite the song being released last year.
While celebrating the release of “Dum & Dummer 2,” Young Dolph dropped a bombshell on fans, revealing that this would be his last album.
“I hope y’all enjoying the new mixtape, it’s my last project putting out. I wasn’t gonna tell y’all but i thought y’all should know I’m done with music. ENJOY,” the 35-year-old wrote on Instagram. This news shocked followers, who flooded his IG comments with pleas for him to rethink retiring at such a young age.
While it is unclear what drove Dolph to part ways with music, one can only hope that the success of “Dum & Dummer 2” will force him to reconsider.
